Africa Story

THIS IS THE STORY OF HOW IT ALL BEGAN IN AFRICA; WITH A COUPLE OF WOMEN OF VISION, IN A DINING ROOM IN JOHANNESBURG.

In 1993 the socio-political situation in South Africa was anything but stable. Apartheid was finally coming to an end. Nelson Mandela had been freed from prison and the government of the day was negotiating the transition to a system of majority rule, with the first democratic election scheduled for April 1994.

While most South Africans were on a knife edge, not sure if the transition would be peaceful or civil war would ensue, Ronnie Black, Cally Heal and Corallie Pringle were optimistic and hatching a clever plan. They anticipated that with the lifting of sanctions against South Africa, the floodgates would open for foreign investment again as corporates jumped at the opportunity to access this new and exciting market. Under these unique circumstances, in response to a market need, Corporate Relocations, the first relocation company in South Africa, was founded by three visionary women, who had themselves been expatriates.

From these humble beginnings, Corporate Relocations soon landed its first major corporate client and shortly thereafter started working with the top global relocation management companies. The company grew from strength to strength to become the largest and most professional destination service provider in South Africa.

In 2005, Corporate Relocations set its sights on conquering the rest of Africa. Again in response to clients’ needs, the Africa division was established. Over the years a great deal of research and experience has made us the knowledge leader in Africa.

In 2008, Corporate Relocations was purchased by Elliott International and became Elliott Corporate Relocations, rebranding as Elliott Mobility in 2010, and providing both relocation and moving services under one umbrella.

Also in 2010, we established our Immigration Division to provide boutique, high touch immigration guidance and processing services to our clients seeking a single-source solution.

In 2014, Elliott Corporate Relocations partnered with the Middle East’s leading DSP, Intouch Relocations, to start Intouch Relocations Kenya, headquartered in Nairobi, a move that was strategically beneficial to both entities. From this strong partnership emerged the opportunity to join forces with Intouch Relocations in a more meaningful way. And so in 2015 Intouch Relocations acquired Elliott Corporate Relocations, to form the premier regional specialist destination service provider in Africa and the Middle East.

Today Intouch Relocations has local expertise and coverage in 28 locations throughout Africa and the Middle East, operating from regional hubs to be closer to where our clients need us to be.

Corallie Pringle remains the CEO, leading an exceptional team of committed and adventurous professionals who constantly seek new frontiers to conquer and innovative ways of delivering more in more places for less.
